Empower your organization’s leaders and high potentials by adopting the Life Styles Inventory (LSI)™ styles assessment by Human Synergistics International. This assessment is a research-based, integrated diagnostic framework that can increase individual, team, and organizational success.
The Life Styles Inventory™ (LSI) helps individuals to develop constructive thinking and behavioral styles. These styles are proven to be related to job performance, quality of interpersonal relationships, and problem-solving effectiveness. Unlike many other style assessments, the LSI is prescriptive in its assessment feedback. It provides distinct perspective and guidance on both constructive (positive) behaviors and defensive (derailing) tendencies. These are based on validated scientific research on what specific workplace behaviors result in more positive professional and organizational outcomes.
The Human Synergistics Life Styles Inventory™ is a development tool that uses both self-assessment (LSI 1) and 360 feedback from colleagues (LSI 2) to identify individual thinking and behavioral styles. In addition, it provides insights into strengths and areas for development. These insights help to empower people to embark on their own journeys to be better at, and enjoy more, everything they do. Designed for managers, leaders, and those in professional and technical roles, the assessment has helped millions of people to understand and change the way they think and behave. It has been referenced in numerous management and psychology books and journals as well as in newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal. The LSI will help to get your team thinking and behaving to their full potential. As a result, they will contribute to your success as a business and an employer of choice.
Human Synergistics Life Styles Inventory™ is particularly valuable for helping individuals to:
- Discover new ways of thinking and behaving
- Improve their effectiveness in their roles
- Cope better with stress, pressure, and change
- Achieve self-set goals
- Apply more flexible and creative thinking
- Improve their interpersonal relationships
- Increase their personal effectiveness
The LSI system has two parts:
- LSI 1 (self-description) – The individual self-assesses their thinking styles, personal effectiveness, and satisfaction at work and home
- LSI 2 (description by others) – Up to 12 of the focal individual’s peers, managers, and/or subordinates provide feedback on their behavior and effectiveness
The results and any recommendations are then presented to the individual in a comprehensive, confidential report. When completing both the LSI 1 and LSI 2, they can be compared in order to identify the individual’s confirmed strengths, unrecognized strengths, blind spots, and stumbling blocks. Our accredited practitioners will guide them through the findings and help them develop a strategy to change the way they think and behave.
